Charisma

So this color looks amazing in the bottle, and then when you put it on naked nails/clear base, it is a deep red, wine color. Nothing like the hot magenta it appears to be in the bottle. I saw recently that some neons do better when a white base, so I tried that and voila! Looks just like the bottle! Love this color now, just a bit of extra work.

While I absolutely love the color (which is brighter than on the screen, way warmer and more magenta than purple), it is hard to apply it evenly and it chips super fast (it chips in less than a day).
I use it in two coats with Zoya base and top coat, I also apply Zoya remover first and it doesn`t really help.
I even tried to apply Zoya Fast Drops since they should help the nail polish stay longer on the nails. Nope, it doesn`t help. I tried it with other base and top coats - still nothing.

Another thing, no matter how careful you are, it is very easy to take the color off while applying the top coat even though the color dries previously.
On the plus side, it dries really fast so it would probably be great for one event and the matte finish looks cool too. However, you should also apply matte top coat to get it to look even on the nails.
I have a love - hate relationship with this specific nail polish and I would not recommend it if you are not extremly patient.

Stunning, vibrant color. Zoya`s picture doesn`t do it justice.

This color is absolute transcendent. It is a strong fuschia that sings when it is on your nails. I used the Zwide brush and had not trouble with the formula at all. Streak-less, full coverage, and lovely with two coats. Like most neon-type colors, it dries matte, but that’s no problem if you wear a top coat (which I do every time I wear nail polish)

I don`t know if I got a bad batch or what, but this is a very disappointing color. Based on the color in the bottle (saw in person before buying) I was expecting a very bright, vivid, knock-your-socks-off HOT pink, but the true color is more of a deeper purple pink. The polish also chips like crazy - I`m on day three of a two coat mani complete with Zoya base and top coats and every nail is chipped badly. The polish also dries matte, which I was not expecting. Applying a top coat brings some of the vivid color back, but nothing like what is in the bottle. Wish I could return this one. :(

Considering Zoya designed this polish to dry matte and be used with a topcoat, it would make sense to add that info to the description. A swatch pic would also help.

I can`t understand how some reviewers got a week`s wear out of this color. I used Zoya`s base coat and topcoat, and it still chipped in less than 24 hours. All I did was sleep and make coffee the next morning, and every nail was chipping. It`s a shame, because this color would be gorgeous if it stayed on for longer than five minutes. Bummer and a waste of $10

A gorgeous vibrant color. It dries very quickly so brushstrokes show until you get the hang of it. If you opt for a third coat, the shade gets much deeper. But the chipping! It needs a very sturdy topcoat and even then it lasts about half as long as other Zoya polishes.

I have to admit that I did not look at the reviews before I bought this. It was a special cube set, and I thought it was worth a shot to try something new and bold. When I pulled it out of the box I looked at the bottle thinking that there was no way I could wear something so bold, but tried it on one nail. I was shocked when it dried matte, and quite a bit more subdued than the bottle. I LOVE it, as I am a real fan of matte polishes. Yes, it does chip easily, but I don`t care, as most polishes do not last very long on me unless it is a pixie dust, or frosted. Charisma is well worth it for that special look.

This is more of a magenta undertones mentioned in the description than the purple overtones you see in the photo. It also doesn`t come out quite as neon as I`d hoped. But! It`s still quite pretty, and I got great coverage (on acrylics) with just one coat.

I love Charisma so much! It so bright and looks gorgeous in the sun! When I wear this I can`t stop looking at my nails. I gave it a 4 because it does cheap easily since it is a matte but it is still so worth it!

I LOVE this color so much! I really love the matte finish of it and the color is like nothing else. I have finally come to the end of my bottle and must order more! I was given a bottle of Zoya in a more orangey, peachy pink and I don`t look good in those shades so I added a bit of this and now I have a gorgeous dark pink that I love also! Zoya is wonderful quality nail polish and I have been using many different brands and it`s the best quality hands down! It doesn`t ever get too thick and unusable. I have bottle of Zoya from 3 YEARS ago and they are still great! I have to ad thinner to other brands the more I use them and they are exposed to the air. Zoya doesn`t do that.

I love the color, could easily be my new favorite, but it lasted less than 12 hours on my hands. Very disappointed.

With a top coat, I love the color. It`s vibrant (more neon than it appears on-screen) and definitely fun. Without the top coat, the color is significantly darker and more muted. Also, without the topcoat, it`s matte. I like matte finishes, but the matte seems to be somewhat uneven. With or without a topcoat, this color chips super easily. Just from normal daily activity, within 24 hours 1/2 of the polish had chipped off my nails. This was way worse than usual for me; I can normally wear Zoya polishes for about a week before the tips start looking a bit worn.

This is a beautiful color, but really sheer, sometimes I`ll use 3 coats. This color dries really fast because it dries matte. It`s more pink than it is in the photo and it looks great w/ nail art on it. A beautiful base for a flower. I would suggest using a good base coat and a matte topcoat over it or a thick shiny top coat will keep it lasting long :)

I love this color. It`s a bummer that Charisma dries matte because I don`t always have time (with two toddlers) to apply a top coat. Sometimes I`m lucky JUST to get my nails painted at all, but I digress. Charisma is especially neat with the fleck affect top coats applied (I used Opal and the green on top of the purple looked just awesome). HOWEVER, despite how neat and pretty this color is, it CHIPS almost immediately (it chipped the SAME DAY). It is far too easy and quick to chip. I was very disappointed in that because so many of my other Zoya polishes don`t chip anywhere near as easy and that is so important to me because I`m very rough on my hands (again, two toddlers!). I`m hoping to get something similar to Charisma down the line, such as Audrina.

The color is so pretty, however, it doesn`t last for a day... I regret to get this.

Charisma is a fiercely fabulous color, you will not be able to stop looking at your mani/pedi. but, as with all matte polishes, she chips very easily. I knew this when I bought it and I was hesitant to purchase a color that I knew would chip easily, but I`m glad I did it. A normal Zoya manicure will last me 7 days, Charisma only last 4 days or so, but the color is mesmerizing for those four days!

I am pretty sure I burned my retinas when I took this stuff out of the box, it is much brighter that it looked online, and I am glad!! Awesome color, everyone at work wants it too now.

When I got this color, it was definitely more pink toned than the picture on screen. It`s hard to judge color on the computer, but I still like how it came out. I`d say it`s a neon magenta, but more sophisticated, stylish neon and less highlighter neon. Covers completely in 2 coats, but definitely needs the top coat.

This is the first Zoya review I`ve written. While I love all of my little Z`s, I`ve never opened a box of nail polish and literally gasped at how beautiful a color is. That is, until now.
Charisma is a striking, bright purple with a bold fuchsia base. Oh, there are no words to describe how beautiful it is. One must be a lover of all shades purple to fully appreciate this polish. Wow!
One thing that surprised me is that it dries matte. I don`t consider this a problem, as I always use Seche Vite as a top coat, which adds a great shine to my finished manicure. However, this means a top coat is required for those who don`t prefer the matte look.
This isn`t a quick, run-out-the-door-in-a-single-coat polish, although full opacity can be achieved in a single coat if applied carefully. Such a strong color requires precision in application.
Just wanted to share my excitement for this brilliant find. The Zoya Fairies are always hard a work, coming up with new and interesting colors for those of us who prefer our talons polished. Although Charisma is not a new color it`s new to me, and it is truly a gem!

Fabulous color, dries matte but will be glossy with Zoya top coat.

This is my favorite color for my toes. My skin is latte colored and I have a teal yoga mat, the color of my toes pop in yoga class! You do need to wear a clear top coat to bring out the color otherwise it`s a dull matte.

I love the color but don`t like that it is matte. It doesn`t wear well but I still use it & get lots of compliments.

Really like the color, however it dries matte. I wish it was glossier but I still really like the color. It`s bold and trendy. Recommended, but not highly.

Gorgeous color- neon, berry-toned purple. However, because it dries matte, she chips easily (mine chipped within a day, the fastest of all my Zoyas); I understand that neons dry matte and therefore are prone to chipping. Oh well.

The color is unique: Super bright but also vampy! As much as I loved it, it chipped and scratched within a day and that was with topcoat. I own many polishes and this is unusual for me.

The color in the bottle seemed intense and quite unlike anything else I`ve seen. So taking the chance, I tried it.
I must say I`m totally pleased with this shade! So vibrant and brillant. I couldn`t help but stare at my nails throughout the day! :)
I highly recommend this color. Try it...you won`t be sorry!

This color is so gorgeous, it is a shame some people left bad reviews....and why? Because they did not read that it had a matte finish or maybe understand what a matte finish is. I personally do not like matte finishes (that is the dry, dull look), I love glossy. If you do not know what something is, do not blame the company or the color...look it up:) I just put a top coat over this and have no problem with wear and tear. Mattes do tend to chip easier...Zoya IS a durable nail polish brand...this is with ANY brand`s mattes...they (mattes) are a delicate polish and will chip and come off much easier than a regular glossy polish. My suggestion is to ALWAYS wear a top coat over this if you want to wear this color out! Great job Zoya on another beautiful color!

I have been using Charisma on clients pedicures for over 3 years. It continues to be popular with my regulars so I just wanted to let everyone know that Charisma was never intended to be worn as a matte shade. I had this problem because my clients were buying Charisma to use at home, but alot of them didnt take the time to use a topcoat between visits. It made me pull my hair out at first, then I talked with the distributor for Zoya in CA. They told me it should always be worn with a topcoat for lustrous finish. The pigment is unique in this shade and requires topcoat at all times for finish and wear.

The best color but to bad it chips. The only Zoya polish that seems to do this. Also the only one that seems to dry matte so that might have something to do with it.

I totally missed the memo about this being matte. I love the matte finish, and I really love how fast it dries, but I`m a writer, and I spend my days turning pages in books. This stuff slides right off if it brushes against a page. It`s really a pretty color, and it looks great, but it`s not very wearable.

This is my new favorite color. At first I really disliked the matte finish, but after 3 coats it was completely opaque and the next morning I actually loved the matte. My husband thinks it`s really cool looking and requests I wear it! The color changes depending on the lighting - its a deep dark plum in low light and very intense magenta in bright light. One application lasts almost 2 weeks without chipping for me! Love!

I looooooove this color, it`s soooo original. So different. and Definitely interesting. It`s so distracting, I just sit and stare at it all day trying to figure out why it looks so cool.
ONLY THING IS!! you MUST put clear on top b/c it dries...weird, it`s like this dull mud looking finish to it, it was weird the first time I put it on, but whenver I put clear right on top, you would never know the difference.
OH ALSO! ...it chips Real easy. Like. the next day easy. Like, since it`s a pretty good color, I only needed one coat, then the next day it was chipped. So I put on a second coat... and IT CHIPPED AGAIN. that is weird, and i`m not rough on my nails at all. So. : ( it`s kinda sad cuz i love the color so much, but it doesn`t want to stay on my nails!! : .(..

Chipped after 2 days. Very disappointed. I even reapplied it and it chipped again. Um, 2 weeks, NOT!

I really love this color. It goes on very smooth and evenly, and was opaque in two coats. It does have more of a red undertone which you don`t really see if the picture (at least on my monitor). Also, dries a little on the matte side but my Armor topcoat had it looking very shiny.
